segmentation fault

Hi,

I routinely use OBItools 1.0.22, but now I would like to switch to OBItools3. Unfortunately it gives a Segmentation fault when creating the DMS as explained below.

I am trying to create my own database from a fasta file as follows. My fasta file is formatted as required for OBItoolls 1.0.22, i.e. ">ID taxid=xxxxx;" as header for each sequence.

obi import --taxdump taxdump.tar.gz --fasta-input --nuc Riaz_Feb2020.fasta
2020-02-20 12:12:46,404 [import : INFO ] obi import: imports an object (file(s), obiview, taxonomy...) into a DMS
Segmentation fault

Any idea what is going wrong?

I installed the latest version of OBItools3 (Version b'2.2') in a virtual environment as follows:

python3 -m venv /home/genomics/ahaegeman/.venv_obi3
source /home/genomics/ahaegeman/.venv_obi3/bin/activate
pip install Cython
pip install OBItools3

Kind regards, Annelies
