Closing OBIDMS, column directories, columns, and arrays

How do we define "closing" an OBIDMS and an OBIDMS column?

For now it consists of:

  • freeing and unmapping the C structures and mapped regions
  • closing the file for OBIDMS columns

It does not:

  • close directories, because that makes it impossible to reopen them
  • delete the python class object, because a class can't delete itself (but an OBIDMS object could probably delete an OBIDMS_column object?)
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
